The 2007 District 85P Fall Conference
was held at the beautiful and expansive Jiu Hua Resort and Convention Center
north of the Beijing on Saturday October 20, 2007. Over 130 Toastmasters
and guests from clubs throughout China converged upon this location for a day
filled with laughter, learning and feasts. Laughter came in the form of
two Humorous competitions - the District Mandarin Humorous Showcase in the
morning and the District English Humorous Contest in the afternoon.
Learning occurred in the six educational sessions hosted by members that shared
skills and information with members and guests. All that attended enjoyed
the cuisine offered at both the luncheon and Awards Banquet. To wind down
each evening, many of the members and guest took advantage of the facilities
offered at the resort to avail themselves of the Hot Springs and Spa facility.
Congratulations to Conference Host
Division N Governor Cindy Jensen, CC/CL and the team of members from the
Division N clubs that took part in the planning and organizing of the
conference. It was a weekend to remember!
