While the Communication and Leadership manuals provided in the Competent and Advanced programs for members and the new Competent Leader manual give a step-by-step learning process to develop skills of speakers and leaders, Toastmasters International recognizes that sometimes a more intensified training will be needed.  The programs listed below are created by Toastmasters to improve the skills and learning of its members.  All of the programs are available from the Toastmasters International Supply catalogue.  Click on any of the links to learn more about this program.

The Better Speaker Series

This program is designed to be delivered to beginning or novice speakers to assist them in improving their understanding of basic speech components.  Each segment in the series is designed to be delivered in twenty - thirty minutes, either in a club meeting or in a workshop.  The segments count toward requirements for Advanced Awards.  The following are the segments included in this series:

Beginning Your Speech A focus on how to build a powerful opening to your speeches
Concluding Your Speech A focus on how to build a powerful and memorable conclusion to your speeches
Take the  Terror Out of Talk Techniques for overcoming and channeling nervousness while you are speaking
Impromptu Speaking Learn how to handle speaking in "off-the-cuff" situations
Selecting Your Topic How to select and develop ideas for speeches
Know Your Audience If you can relate to your audience, they will relate to you
Organizing Your Speech Once you know what you want to say, consider when and how you want to say it in the design of your speech
Creating An Introduction All great speeches are preceded by great introductions.  Learn how to create a powerful introduction to your next speech
Preparation and Practice Techniques on how to prepare for and to practice for your next speech
Using Body Language Explains how the use of facial expressions, gestures and body movement can help to deliver the message of your speech

Success/Communication

These are training modules created by Toastmasters International to allow members to give targeted training to groups and individuals outside of club meetings.  All of the segments are designed to be given independently of other segments (except those listed as part one or part two).  All segments are designed to be given in seminars lasting for two to three hours to up to several weeks.  The segments count toward requirements for Advanced Awards.

Building your Thinking Power - Part I - Mental Flexibility This educational seminar program teaches participants how to adapt their behavior to achieve the best results.
Building your Thinking Power - Part II - The Power of Ideas Teaches participants how to become more creative thinkers.
From Speaker to Trainer This educational seminar program teaches participants how to develop and present training programs.
How To Listen Effectively Program teaches listening, speaking, and leadership skills.
Speechcraft This speech-training program will bring prospective members into your club to see what Toastmasters is all about.
The Art of Effective Evaluation This program will give club members the knowledge, motivation and skills they need to become more effective evaluators.

The Successful Club Series

This program is designed to be given during club meetings.  The individual segments are between fifteen and forty minutes in length.  The segments count toward requirements for Advanced Awards.

The Moments of Truth How to recognize and deal with situations critical to club success, from a visitor's first impressions to recognition of member achievements
Finding New Members for Your Club Proven methods to help you seek out those vital new members
Evaluate to Motivate Your members learn to give evaluations that benefit the speaker, the evaluator and the audience
Closing the Sale Exercising the powers of persuasion when a guest is deciding whether or not to join the club
Creating the Best Club Climate Techniques for creating and maintaining a healthy club environment
Meeting Roles and Responsibilities How members can successfully fulfill each meeting role
Mentoring This program defines mentoring, explains benefits, and discusses responsibilities of mentors
Keeping the Club Commitment Discusses the ten standards that compromise "A Toastmaster's Promise"
Going Beyond Our Club Find out about learning and leadership opportunities available to members in addition to the regular club meetings and activities
How to Be a Distinguished Club Explains the Distinguished Club Program to the members
The Toastmasters Education Program What does it take to receive the Competent Communicator Award (CC) or Advanced Leader Bronze Award (ALB)? This module provides a terrific orientation of the complete educational program offered by Toastmasters International.  The information is valuable to new and experienced members alike

The Leadership Excellence Series

This series of fifteen to thirty minute presentations are designed to be given as educational lessons in regular club meetings.  Each segment focuses upon one aspect of leadership and allows the audience to gain understanding on how to put these concepts into use in both the club environment and their daily lives.  The segments count toward requirements for Advanced Awards. 

Segment Title Description
The Visionary Leader Discusses how leaders create and communicate a vision for their organization to help it be successful.
Developing a Mission Addresses how successful leaders create and communicate a mission for their organization.
Values and Leadership Examines values and how to employ them as you lead a team toward achieving a goal.
Goal Setting and Planning Reviews the processes leaders use to set goals and develop plans to achieve these goals.
Delegate to Empower This module discusses how to effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities.
Building A Team This module reviews how to create and lead a team.
Giving Effective Feedback This module provides suggestions for offering feedback to others on their performance.
The Leader As A Coach This module discusses how to work with a team to help them improve.
Motivating People This modules examines how to be sensitive to your team members' needs and create an environment that will motivate them.
Service and Leadership This module provides the overall concepts of the service leadership philosophy.
Resolving Conflict This module provides concepts that will help the presenter and the participants learn conflict resolution skills.

How To Conduct Productive Meetings A group leader reviews the techniques and dynamics of small group meetings.
Improving Your Management Skills This educational seminar program will give participants the knowledge and skills they need to be more effective managers.
Parliamentary Procedures In Action Designed to provide Toastmasters with the basic skills to effectively lead and participate in parliamentary discussion.

High Performance Leadership

This five-project program offers instruction and practice in such vital leadership skills and activities as developing a mission and vision, goal-setting and planning, identifying values and building a team. Includes three Guidance Committee Handbooks. This program is a requirement to be fulfilled in order to earn the Advanced Leader or Distinguished Toastmaster awards.
