History & Milestone in District 85

 

 

Feb 1, 1999 - First club was chartered in China Mainland: Shanghai No 1 Toastmasters Club

 

July 1, 2006 - China Territorial Council was formed. This brought all Toastmasters in China together.

 

Oct 14, 2006 - First national level conference ever was held in Shanghai. TM International President Johnny Uy attended this conference.

 

July 1, 2007 - District 85 (provisional) was formed. We achieved President Distinguished District and were ranked world No 2 among all districts at the end of the term.

 

July 1, 2008 - District 85 was  officially formed. We achieved President Distinguished District for the second consecutive year and were ranked world No 3 among all districts at the end of the term.
