2009 Spring Conference  May 22nd, 23rd            Beijing

Theme: Envision the Future

-Toastmasters International Director Poh Kim Siong gave a workshop and a keynote address

-International Speech Contest and Mandarin Speech Showcase

-For the first time our district champion of International Speech Contest would join inter-district speech contest in August in Toastmasters International Convention

-Past International Director 1989 - 1991, Eileen Wolfe gave a workshop

-Craig Valentine, 1999 world champion of public speaking presented two workshops

-Toastmasters International Director Mohammed Murad delivered the keynote address

-English Humorous Speech Contest and English Table Topics Speech Contest

-For the first time we had over 350 attendees

-For the fiirst time we had Hong Kong and Macau toastmasters members joining our conference

-First time to have a world champion as our VIP speaker. Darren Lacroix, 2001 world champion of public speaking gave one keynote address and one workshop

-Past Toastmasters International Director 2002-2003, Jim Kokocki gave a workshop
