District 85 P Announces 2007-2008 Leadership Team

June 15 - Beijing China

The Territorial Council of China of Toastmasters International held elections for its 2007-2008 Executive Leaders and Division Governors at its Spring Conference in Shenzhen on May 26, 2007.  Elected to serve as the team of leaders that will be the first District Officers in China were the following:

District Governor Keith Ostergard, DTM
Lt. Governor of Education and Training Victor Yu, ACS/CL
Lt. Governor of Marketing Eugene Tang, CTM/CL

Elected to serve as the first Division Governors in China were:

Division E (East) Governor Rebecca Hong, ACS/CL
Division N (North) Governor Cindy Jensen, CC/CL
Division S (South) Governor Jane Lee, CC

The following positions were appointed by the District Governor, with the agreement by the other Executive Committee members:

District Secretary Friedhelm Maur, ACB/ALS
District Treasurer Jonathon Eisenberg
District Historian Frankie Lee, CTM
District Sergeant-at-Arms / Parliamentarian Randy Green, CTM/CL

District 85 is one of the districts of Toastmasters International and includes the clubs within the People's Republic of China except Hong Kong and Macau (currently 75 clubs and over 1700 members). 
Toastmasters International is a world-wide non-profit organization that helps its members improve their public speaking and communication skills.  The World Headquarters of Toastmasters International is located in Rancho Santa Margarita California in the United States.
